What to Expect
Our healthcare family is committed to providing you with compassionate, quality care. We offer a variety of services for our patients including admission and discharge, clinical research, and pastoral care. It is important to us that you receive the best care – and that is why our Guest Relations Department is available to answer or address any questions or concerns you might have regarding the care you received at Singing River Health System.
Singing River Health System’s food and nutrition services staff makes every effort to honor special dietary needs for patients upon request. Please ask your nurse to contact the Registered Dietician if you have any special dietary restrictions.
For patients staying overnight in one of our hospitals, in-room meals are served around the following times:
- Breakfast: 7:30am – 9am
- Lunch: 11:30am – 1pm
- Dinner: 4:30pm – 6pm

Singing River Health System also offers access for patients to MySingingRiver which gives you access to your medical records. With MySingingRiver you can access your test results, manage your appointments, communicate with your doctor, fill out pre-visit questionnaires, pay bills online, request prescription refills, update medications and allergies, connect to home devices, view a child’s records and growth charts, manage the care of elderly patients, view personalized education topics, and track your health.

At Singing River Health System, patient rights are respected without regard to age, gender/gender identity, cultural, economic, educational, religious background, sexual orientation, or source of payment. These rights also apply to any person who may have the legal responsibility to make decisions regarding medical care on the patient’s behalf.
You also have certain responsibilities to your healthcare providers. These include:
• Respect and consideration toward the rights of other patients, physicians and staff
• Providing accurate information for your healthcare team about prior illnesses, your pain, medication and allergies
• Participation in your healthcare. Ask if you need more information to better understand your health status or treatment options.
• Clear, accurate and updated insurance information at all visits.

Your Singing River Health System medical records are available upon request. A copy of your medical records can be sent to another medical facility or obtained for personal reasons.
