Singing River Health System, with our network of interventional cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons, are pioneering a Structural Heart Program. Our group is working to ensure that patients are receiving the latest technology in minimally invasive procedures on the structures of the heart.
Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair (MitraClip)
We are the first provider in South Mississippi to offer a new heart procedure — MitraClip. An alternative to open heart surgery, MitraClip is a minimally invasive mitral valve repair procedure for patients with primary and secondary mitral regurgitation.
Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
TAVR is a breakthrough treatment for severe aortic stenosis. It is now considered the standard of care for aortic valve replacement in patients who are too high risk for open heart surgery.
Perceval Sutureless Aortic Valve Replacement
The Perceval Aortic Valve Replacement is a great option for patients who need complete removal of their diseased aortic valve. This valve is truly sutureless, and its design allows for possible future transcatheter valves, making it a unique foundation for future valve-in-valve procedures.
WATCHMAN Atrial Fibrillation Implant
WATCHMAN reduces stroke risk in people with atrial fibrillation not caused by a heart valve problem. It works differently from blood thinners like warfarin. WATCHMAN is a permanent implant that closes off a part of the heart where blood clots commonly form.

Heart Failure Clinic
The Heart Failure Clinic works with the physician to provide comprehensive outpatient management for patients diagnosed with heart failure. The staff provides monitoring of patient symptoms, intravenous (IV) medications when necessary, and education to help patients learn to manage their condition.
Non-Invasive Vascular Lab
Our IAC Accredited Vascular Lab at Pascagoula Hospital provides the latest in noninvasive diagnostic testing for heart conditions. We help diagnose patients by performing tests like echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, tilt table, EEG, vascular ultrasounds, and the Holter monitor.
Cardiac Catheterization Lab
The Cath Labs at all three of our hospitals perform non-invasive cardiac diagnostics and procedures. The most common procedures are angioplasty and stent placements.
Cardiac Rehab
Have you had a heart attack or heart surgery, or do you have congestive heart failure? Cardiac Rehab is a medically supervised program designed to improve your cardiovascular health. The program includes an individualized treatment plan with progressive exercise and education regarding risk factor management.
